Monday, December 8
No public schedule.

Tuesday, December 9
8:30 a.m., Promising Principals Academy Winter Convening,
Sheraton Annapolis Hotel, 173 Jennifer Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
Dr. Lowery will participate in the statewide gathering of aspiring principals and other school system leaders as they discuss “Building and Executive Effective Communications Strategies.”  A number of national and state experts will address the meeting, including Mike McCurry, former press secretary to President Bill Clinton.

Wednesday, December 10
9:30 a.m. – Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools Announcement, Maryland State Department of Education, 7th Floor Board Room, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Dr. Lowery will announce the names of the 2015 Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools.  Schools from Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Frederick, Harford, and Washington Counties will be in the spotlight.

12 p.m. – Terrapin Teachers Advisory Board,
Elkins Building, University of Maryland, 33000 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD 20783
Dr. Lowery will participate in the inaugural meeting of the advisory panel, which will help oversee the new Terrapin Teachers program based on the University of Texas’s UTeach model.

Thursday, December 11
9 a.m. – School Readiness Symposium,
Turf Valley Conference Center, 2700 Turf Valley Road, Ellicott City, MD  21042
Dr. Lowery will help kick off the regular symposium, sponsored by Ready at Five.

Friday, December 12
1 p.m.  – Career and Technology Education/ Library Project,
Easton Branch of the Talbot County Library, 100 W. Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601
Dr. Lowery will keynote an event highlighting the importance of career and technical education as a pathway to economic success.
