November 17-21 is American Education Week

Monday, November 17
10 a.m. – Baltimore School for the Arts, 712 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Dr. Lowery and Rep. Elijah Cummings invited to visit the school as American Education Week gets underway.

5 p.m. – Superintendent’s Family Engagement Council, Maryland State Department of Education, Conference Room 1, 8th Floor, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Dr. Lowery will take part in a regular meeting of the Council.

Tuesday, November 18
8 a.m. – Cecil County Schools, District Office, 201 Booth Street, Elkton, MD  21921
Dr. Lowery will join Cecil County Superintendent D’Ette Devine in a visit to three schools in the system to celebrate American Education Week.

Wednesday, November 19
No public schedule.

Thursday, November 20
12 p.m. – U.S. Professors of the Year, National Press Club, 529 14th Street, 13th Floor,
Washington, DC 20045
Dr. Lowery will be attending a luncheon honoring the nation’s top college professors.

Friday, November 21
8 a.m. – Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Hotel Monaco, 700 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004
Dr. Lowery will be taking part in the Foundation’s meeting as a member of the organization’s Board of Trustees.
