Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Lillian Lowery will be the keynote speaker at the Good Teaching Summit: Strategies to Foster Teaching Success.  The event, sponsored by the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future, will be held at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, DC.

Dr. Lowery will discuss how Maryland has developed partnerships with educators to improve classroom instruction.  Also scheduled to take part is Roberto Rodriguez, Deputy Assistant to President Obama for Education on the White House Domestic Policy Council.  Top education analysts along with a panel of teachers will take part in the morning event.
