             State Superintendent of Schools Lillian M. Lowery
             Members of the Maryland General Assembly
             Local Administrators, Principals, and Teachers representing Frost Elementary in Allegany County, Linthicum Elementary in Anne Arundel County, Western School of Technology in Baltimore County, Northern Garrett High School in Garrett County, Cashell Elementary in Montgomery County, and Robert Goddard French Immersion School in Prince George’s County.

WHAT:  An evening of celebration putting a focus on six of Maryland’s top-performing schools.  All six of the schools have received both state and national Blue Ribbon honors.  The schools are recognized on the basis of rigorous State and national requirements for high achievement and significant improvement. The students in each of these schools are high achievers in reading and mathematics, and many of the schools serve a significant number of economically disadvantaged students.  The evening will include a reception, dinner, program, and honors on the floor of the House and Senate.
