The Maryland State Department of Education has announced the release of free and reduced-price meals enrollment data for School Year 2014. The data is based on the number of students approved for free and reduced-price lunches or snacks as of October 31, 2013, as required under Federal law.

In School Year 2014, 44.26 percent or 389,284 Maryland students are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals based on household income.
